Objective

My objective is to use the gifts God has given me in the building up of His Church, with a special focus on young people in helping them to be all that they can be and to have life in all its fullness in Christ.

 

Qualification

I have a number of Gifts and skills in such areas as: public speaking & preaching, leading worship, leading adult and youth bible studies, counselling and in the area of youth.  I have had much experience in the research, implementation and running of youth ministries such as drop-in-centres and youth groups as well as young adult groups.  I have had a lot of experience in working with young people out side of church, especially in the school system.

I am responsible for pastoral care & counselling of students.  This can involve a one to one situation, small group situation and in some cases whole class situation.  I am responsible for being a representative of the local churches and as such I uphold the values of the local and wider church bodies.  I am a resource for both staff and students in many areas; this can include referrals to other organizations such as Centrelink to pregnancy counselling.  I am often involved in excursions and activity lines.  I also run two games events during lunchtime for students; one of these involves members of local churches as well.

I was responsible for preaching once a month, leading a adult bible study, leading a youth study and the research, implementation and running of a youth drop-in-centre.  I was also responsible for recruiting, training and pastoral care of youth leaders and other volunteers in the Youth Ministry Team.  I also preached at some other Uniting churches.

I was responsible for inwards and outwards correspondence, serving aircraft technicians with equipment needs and inwards and outwards movement of stores equipment.  I was also responsible for computer programming and streamlining certain functions within the equipment store as well as maintaining databases and the purchasing department.  I was also responsible for liasing with civilian companies and the purchase of equipment from said companies.
